Another Prometheus Engineer gallery has appeared on Facebook, this time courtesy of Creatures Inc Ltd, showing yet more of the makeup and FX custumes that went into the creation of the Engineers.
Of special interest are a few images, like the one below, that show not one, but TWO Elder Engineers appeared in the original version of the opening scenes to the movie. We also get some nice closeups of the Elders’ prosthetics.

Prometheus is directed by Ridley Scott, from a screenplay by Damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts. The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, Patrick Wilson and Kate Dickie, and is now on release around the world.
A load of new photos have appeared on Facebook, showing, in a surprising amount of detail, the efforts that went into the practical makeup effects on Prometheus.
We see Daniel James as the ‘Sacrifice Engineer’ and Ian Whyte as the ‘Final Engineer’, and Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland. There’s also a glimpse of a previously unseen ‘Elder Engineer’. While storyboards and designs for this character are seen in the Prometheus: The Art of The Film book, this is confirmation that a scene was filmed, which will hopefully make its way into the extended cut of the film.

Fox have released a new featurette focussing on the design of the titular Prometheus ship.
With a decent amount of construction footage, it’s great to see how much of the ship was built for real in this age of wall to wall CGI.

Fox have released a couple of new Prometheus videos.
The first is a new “Origins” behind the scenes featurette, with a few new interviews and snippets of footage, the second is a new TV Spot titled “Agenda”.

A few days after a Russian-language version of a new Prometheus featurette appeared, disappeared then re-appeared, you can now view it in glorious English.
So put away your Russian phrase books and take a look at this!

Fox Russia have posted a great new behind the scenes featurette on their Youtube channel!
While the Russian voiceover drowns out the people speakers, we get to see a lot more footage, both in-film and behind the scenes, and more interviews, including, I think for the first time on camera, Jon Spaihts. If only we knew what they were all saying! Hopefully an English version will hit soon.
Check it out! (The original was removed from Youtube soon after this article was first posted, we have another copy for you here – while it lasts!).
File removed now the English language version is online.
