Predators – Nimrod Antal confirmed as director
Ain’t it Cool News has had confirmation directly from Writer/Producer Robert Rodriguez that he has chosen Nimrod Antal as director for his upcoming Predator sequel/reboot.
He goes into a fair bit of detail about his choice, as well as talking about how he became involved in the project, his previous script, written in 1994, some thoughts on the special effect teams he will be using and more. You can read the full article here.
First of all, on a personal level I found [Antal] to be an outstanding presence, a great communicator full of ideas, and upon meeting him you can immediately understand how he is able to wrangle cast and crew and get the best out of everyone…
The original PREDATORS script was large scale, because as a writer I didn’t have to worry about how it would be made…
We know we don’t want to go crutching on CG for this, so I need people I can count on and that I know will go the extra hundred miles to deliver…
