Prometheus box office roundup – worldwide nears $270 million!

So, Prometheus has now been on release around the world for a month, and continues to rack up very respectable box office.

We’ve already covered some details in a previous post, but the latest figures are as follows:

As of June 28th 2012, the total worldwide box office gross for Prometheus stands at $267,058,069.

This is made up of $113,336,848 (42.4%) in the US and $153,721,221 (57.6%) combined overseas.

With a solid showing, and still ranking high in top 10s around the world, a sequel seems pretty certain. Hopefully we may hear a little about this when the movie features at July’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Prometheus is directed by Ridley Scott, from a screenplay by Damon Lindelof and Jon Spaihts. The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Rafe Spall, Logan Marshall-Green, Patrick Wilson and Kate Dickie, and is now on release around the world.
